Dr. James Ohrt, MD
Dr. Ohrt grew up near Holdrege, Nebraska and attended Orleans High School, now known as Southern Valley. Upon graduation in 1994, Ohrt ventured east to Lincoln to continue his education at the University of Nebraska. It was there he met his future wife, Nora. The pair are now happily married with four children in Odessa, Dawson, Weston, and Shepleigh.
Dr. Ohrt enjoys a variety of sports including football, baseball, and basketball. He also likes biking in his spare time.
When asked why he chose HHC, Ohrt said, "The location of Henderson and the residents that fill it, made a huge impact on my choice to continue my career at Henderson Health Care. The opportunity to provide full-scope family medicine in a rural area is why I became a Doctor."

Patient Feedback
“My husband and I were passing though on our way east to see family when my appendix ruptured. Luckily the hospital was a few miles away from our campground. The staff was very caring and attentive. I feel very fortunate that we were so close to this small, but wonderful hospital.”
