Nutrition Services & Counseling
Henderson Health Care’s registered dietitian (RD) is licensed by the State of Nebraska to provide clinical nutrition services to Henderson Community Hospital patients, Legacy Square, and Rosewood Court residents and members of the community.
Dietitians work closely with physicians, nurses, and other professional staff to meet individual nutritional needs. All newly-admitted hospital patients are screened for nutritional risk and offered nutrition education as indicated.
The department provides nutritional assistance for medical conditions such as:
Wounds and skeletal injuries
The outpatient nutritional counseling program focuses on helping individuals learn to make healthy food choices and lifestyle changes. Weight management, sports nutrition, and eating disorders counseling is also available. A physician referral is not required for individual outpatient nutrition counseling.
Whatever your ambition — losing weight, increasing energy, changing food habits, preventing disease or complications from a current medical condition — outpatient nutrition counseling at Henderson Health Care provides you with the knowledge to help you succeed in improving your overall health.
Our goal is to encourage you to make gradual long-term changes in your eating habits and lifestyle, by providing support and advice along the journey.

"Thank you HHC for giving our family protection, health, assurance, & true care. The "Forever Moments" held in our hearts have so many of you in them. We could not have written our family's beginning any better. We were able to bring our 4 children into this world with full faith in the people providing us care in our most helpless, but most beautiful moment."
