Flu Shots
Avoid the Flu This Season
According to the CDC, up to 20% of Americans get the flu each year. More than 200,000 people in the U.S. are hospitalized and up to 49,000 deaths are flu-related. These statistics would decrease if more people took advantage of the opportunity to prevent flu with a flu shot. Because the peak flu season may begin as early as October and runs through May, the best time to get a flu shot is in September or October.
Henderson Health Care is now offering flu shots to anyone in the general public that desires to receive one. Regular flu shots are $30. High-dose and egg-free flu shots are $75. Most insurances will cover flu shots.
Call Henderson Family Care at (402) 723-4512 or Sutton Family Practice at (402) 773-2130 to receive your flu shot today.
Patient Feedback
“My husband and I were passing though on our way east to see family when my appendix ruptured. Luckily the hospital was a few miles away from our campground. The staff was very caring and attentive. I feel very fortunate that we were so close to this small, but wonderful hospital.”
