Cardiology
A cardiologist specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the cardiovascular system. The cardiologist will carry out tests, and they may perform some procedures, such as heart catheterizations, angioplasty, or inserting a pacemaker.
Henderson Health Care contracts with Bryan Heart Institute and CHI Nebraska Heart Institute for cardiology services. Doctors hold weekly clinics and perform echocardiograms, EKGs, stress tests, and other diagnostic tests, to examine patients and to oversee patient rehabilitation.
