Dr. Lindsey Nelson Elected to NMA Board

A familiar face has claimed a spot on one of the most prestigious healthcare boards in the state of Nebraska.

Henderson Health Care Physician, Dr. Lindsey Nelson, was recently elected to serve as a Director At Large on the Nebraska Medical Association Board of Directors at their annual meeting on August 16th.

The Nebraska Medical Association Board is a key leadership body in advancing healthcare policy, promoting medical education, and supporting physicians across the state. Dr. Nelson was one of five new board members elected for a one-year term at the August meeting.

Dr. Nelson has been practicing at Henderson Health Care for just over three years, providing vital healthcare services to a diverse patient population, including women’s health, chronic disease management, and preventative care. As a family practice physician in a rural setting, she has been a steadfast advocate for closing healthcare disparities and improving access to quality care for patients in rural and underserved areas.

“As a board member, I hope to bring a creative mindset and rural background to the NMA in order to continue forward progress for our Nebraska healthcare community. I look forward to working as a team to discover solutions to problems our medical communities face and I’ll strive to be an advocate for those I serve.”

The Nebraska Medical Association, founded in 1868, represents nearly 3,000 Nebraska physicians, residents, and medical students. Its mission is to advocate for physicians and the health of all Nebraskans.
